How Long Should I Store Cigars In a Humidor?

June 25, 2012 0 Comment admin

HumidorPremium cigars can be stored in a high quality humidor for an indefinite period of time. In general, most cigar experts are going to recommend that you store your cigars in a humidor for a minimum of three months before smoking them. However, a cigar can be stored in a humidor for up to ten years before its flavor and taste will stop improving.

In order to protect the integrity of your cigars, you will need to ensure that your humidor maintains the proper levels of relative humidity and temperature. While a cigar can be improved through aging, it will not make a bad cigar taste good. If you do not like a particular brand of cigar, aging it in a humidor will not make it taste great overnight. On the other hand, aging cigars inside of a humidor can give strong cigars a considerably mellower flavor over the course of time.
